Donald Trump blasts New York's new lieutenant governor in letter to Paterson
The New York Post reports Monday that the "Celebrity Apprentice" host sent a two-page letter to Paterson blasting Richard Ravitch on the day that the 76-year-old real estate developer was named the state's emergency lieutenant governor.
Paterson's appointment provided a tie-breaking vote in the state Senate, restoring the 32-30 majority that Democrats lost in a June 8 coup.
Trump says in the letter sent Thursday that Ravitch is an "extremely weak, ineffective and a poor negotiator."
But Trump notes that Ravitch "has always been good and very clean. despite his failures as a businessman and representative of state government."
