Fire Tears Through Several Bronx Stores - USA - NYC - New York - The Bronx - fire


Investigators are looking into the cause of a three-alarm fire that gutted a row of businesses Sunday morning on White Plains Road in the Bronx.



Flames quickly spread to eight stores inside the Wakefield complex including a grocery store, laundromat and hair salon.

Store owners say this is the second time a fire has hit the complex in four months -- making this already tough economy even harder on them.

"Last time it happened in December, we close the whole month and it happen again. I don't know what's going on, when they're gonna reopen, I have no idea," said Tanvir Hossain, a laundromat owner.
