Cavaliers Beat Nets and Set Franchise Record

LeBron James had 22 points and 11 assists and made all the right moves in the closing minutes Tuesday night as the Cavaliers set a franchise record with their 58th victory by beating the Nets, 98-87, in Cleveland.



Vince Carter scored 20 for the Nets. The Cavaliers, who trailed by 82-81 with less than four minutes left, won their 10th straight and improved to an N.B.A.-best 33-1 at home.

MAGIC 84, CELTICS 82 Dwight Howard blocked a potential go-ahead layup by Paul Pierce with 3.8 seconds left, and host Orlando clinched its second straight Southeast Division title.

Howard had 24 points and 21 rebounds as the Magic (53-18) edged ahead of Boston (54-19) for second place in the Eastern Conference.
