Moen scores for Sharks in return to Anaheim

Moen, who was traded by Anaheim to the Sharks on March 4, came back to haunt his former team Sunday night in his return. Moen's second-period goal was the difference as the Sharks slipped past the rival Ducks 1-0 in a victory that clinched a Western Conference playoff berth.

It couldn't have been sweeter for Moen — whose wife and infant son were among the Honda Center crowd.

Yet afterward, the soft-spoken Moen chose his words carefully because he has such fond memories of Anaheim and didn't want to sound like he was gloating over the defeat of ex-teammates who still are good friends.

"It was nice to come back and get the victory," said Moen, a left wing. "That was the main thing."
