Help has arrived for some Bronx residents who have been without heat and hot water since Monday night, following a carbon monoxide incident that sent more than a dozen people to the hospital. NY1's Dean Meminger filed the following report.

Help in the form of a temporary boiler arrived at 1512 and 1516 Leland Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

"I just thank god and thank you news people for coming out. Hopefully this will work for us," said one resident.

People who live at 1512 say they went without heat and hot water for about two weeks. After constantly calling the landlord and 311, they say they thought the boiler was fixed on Monday when steam started coming up. But there was another problem lurking -- carbon monoxide fumes from the boiler. As a result, several adults and children ended up in the emergency room early Tuesday morning.

"Every body had to go to the hospital for five or six hours, for something to be done in this building," said one resident.
