Bronx tow truck accident victim identified - USA - New York - NYC - accident - The Bronx


Police identified on Sunday the 56-year-old man who was struck and killed by a tow truck when he tried to cross a busy Bronx street.



Jose Cruz was mowed down Saturday night when he tried to cross Broadway at W. 251st St. in Riverdale. He died before paramedics could get him to New York-Presbyterian Medical Center Columbia, officials said.

Investigators believe Cruz was not in the crosswalk when he was hit by a Riverdale Towing and Collision truck that had turned onto Broadway just moments earlier.
