We can see through your cuts, union tells train firm - train

A TRAIN operator faces having to scrap part of its new staff uniform after rail unions complained the women's blouses were see-through.

Union leaders said female staff at National Express East Coast (NXEC) would refuse to wear the clothes, due to be introduced next month.

Brian Brock, of the Transport Salaried Staffs Association, said: "The blouses are simply too thin and too cheap. This is yet another example of National Express cutting costs at every corner."

He said the Scotland-London operator had also refused to provide the uniform's shoes in half sizes.
