Police officer charged over model murder - model - murder


A female police officer has been charged in connection with the murder of Amy Leigh Barnes.



The 19-year-old model was stabbed to death in Greater Manchester on November 8th last year.

This morning, police confirmed in a statement Melda Wilks, 49, from Birmingham has been charged with assisting an offender.

She appeared at Bolton magistrates' court earlier today and was granted bail until February 20th.

Her son Ricardo Morrison, 21, appeared before magistrates last November charged with Amy's murder and was remanded in custody.
