Beckham says he wants to stay at Milan
The former England captain, speaking after Milan's 2–2 draw in a friendly with Rangers, has informed the MLS side via his representatives of his desire to remain in Serie A. He has been on loan since last month and Milan's lawyers have been in talks with Galaxy with a view to extending that beyond the current March deadline.
The 33-year-old has gone one step further, revealing he may even finish his career in Italy. "My intention is to stay in Milan and I hope that can happen," he said. "At the moment the club wanted to know if I wanted to stay and now they know that. The length of the deal will be discussed once we know it is possible. I have a contract until March, so we have got time. I didn't expect to enjoy things as much as I have done, and to play every week. My main objective now is to stay at this club; I enjoy playing at this level.
