Toshiba's TG01 Smartphone Comes With 4.1-inch LCD Touchscreen
In comparison, the iPhone 3G is 37 percent thicker at 12.3mm and comes with a smaller screen. The TG01's touchscreen has a resolution of 800x480 pixels, the same as the first Asus EEE PC Netbooks launched in 2007.
The smartphone is also the first to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon architecture with a CPU - the QSD2850 - clocked at 1GHz, much faster than anyone else on the market. With HSDPA, GPS and WiFi compatibility, it covers all the bases when it comes to connectivity.
Under the hood, Toshiba used a heavily modified Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system, complete with Microsoft Office Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile 6, DivX and Flash support. The Japanese company has also bundled what it calls a Tosh 3D Graphics User Interface.
