In the space formerly occupied by Bruno Restaurant for 30 years comes Bruno Selimaj's latest venture. The hunt for quality food and hospitality stops at this brownstone space, where the well-to-do flock for cuts of cow that don't disappoint--in portion size or tenderness. The deep red walls and upholstered chairs make for sophisticated surroundings lacking only in pretension. If you don't see the attentive owner, or his son, the manager, meandering about, you'll still feel familial warmth radiating on all three levels.



Dine in the main room, or in the lounge upstairs where the pianist plays smooth music at a volume not at odds with dinner conversation. Preface your entree with a seafood cocktail showcasing a crustacean and order a few staple side dishes--like caramelized brussel sprouts tossed with pieces of bacon and five cheese macaroni drizzled with truffle oil--more enjoyable for the darling miniature orange clay pots in which they're served.

The Extras

Dine to the tune of live music in the second floor lounge, courtesy of in-house musical director and renowned pianist Daniel Nye. (Every Wed-Sat until 2am.)

Fun Fact

Club A's menu was designed by the restaurant's Executive Chef, the French-trained Jean Christophe Villard, formerly of Bobby Van's fame.
